Hello beautiful people,
It's Monday! And we're alive, that's always a good start to a day. A new week is always a good way to set new goals and catch up on previous ones. On a day such as this one, I did a lot of thinking. I've been asking myself this question for a couple of days now, who do I want to be?
People usually say "create yourself". To some extent, they maybe right. In order to create something, you have to imagine the possibility of it existing and the difference it'd make and most importantly it's purpose. We are all part of something grande, it goes beyond race, color, gender. It's about humanity.
Let me get back on track here, we deal with a lot of internal struggles when it comes to discovering why we're here. I've come to realize that the reason we go round and round this topic is because it's easier to live life with a reason. It's not about having a reason that everyone understands but one that you personally can connect with. It's a lot harder to decide who to be when it seems you're surrounded by so many great options and choosing just one makes it hard. Being anyone else but you is usually appealing because who would want to be you?
How many times have you wished to be someone else? Yes, we're doing this again. How many times have you wished to be someone else? Countless times? Sometimes it's not even that you hate yourself, it's that the person you want to has it all figured out and things just seem to flow. You, on the other hand, have a billion questions that need answering from identity to character to gifts and talents to purpose.
The road map is already within us, sounds a little cliché, I know but it's the truth. God created us with a purpose in my mind. We weren't meant to struggle this much to discover who we are but after sin began its been really crazy. This is why "create yourself " isn't in part right. It's about knowing who made you.
God has the story written to your life, even you are a mystery to yourself. Have you ever surprised yourself? That's what I mean. You have a lot to learn about you and only God knows who you truly are. Not exactly what you're looking to hear huh? Well, such is life. We are unraveling. This is why getting to know God is key because the more you know about the creator, the better you're able to understand the creation. What God creates is an extension of Himself. You are an extention of God, made in His likeness. To understand you, speak to God, converse deeply and read the manual of life. It's not do's and don'ts but a guide.
Remember that you're not alone on this journey, we are billions scattered around the world going through same things you are, take heart and pray.
You're one decision away from a totally different life.
