Who do you want to be?

Hello beautiful people,

It's Monday! And we're alive, that's always a good start to a day. A new week is always a good way to set new goals and catch up on previous ones. On a day such as this one, I did a lot of thinking. I've been asking myself this question for a couple of days now, who do I want to be?

People usually say "create yourself". To some extent, they maybe right. In order to create something, you have to imagine the possibility of it existing and the difference it'd make and most importantly it's purpose. We are all part of something grande, it goes beyond race, color, gender. It's about humanity.

Let me get back on track here, we deal with a lot of internal struggles when it comes to discovering why we're here. I've come to realize that the reason we go round and round this topic is because it's easier to live life with a reason. It's not about having a reason that everyone understands but one that you personally can connect with. It's a lot harder to decide who to be when it seems you're surrounded by so many great options and choosing just one makes it hard. Being anyone else but you is usually appealing because who would want to be you?

How many times have you wished to be someone else? Yes, we're doing this again. How many times have you wished to be someone else? Countless times? Sometimes it's not even that you hate yourself, it's that the person you want to has it all figured out and things just seem to flow. You, on the other hand, have a billion questions that need answering from identity to character to gifts and talents to purpose.

The road map is already within us, sounds a little cliché,  I know but it's the truth. God created us with a purpose in my mind. We weren't meant to struggle this much to discover who we are but after sin began its been really crazy. This is why "create yourself " isn't in part right. It's about knowing who made you.

God has the story written to your life, even you are a mystery to yourself. Have you ever surprised yourself? That's what I mean. You have a lot to learn about you and only God knows who you truly are. Not exactly what you're looking to hear huh? Well, such is life. We are unraveling. This is why getting to know God is key because the more you know about the creator, the better you're able to understand the creation. What God creates is an extension of Himself. You are an extention of God,  made in His likeness. To understand you, speak to God, converse deeply and read the manual of life. It's not do's and don'ts but a guide.

Remember that you're not alone on this journey, we are billions scattered around the world going through same things you are, take heart and pray.

You're one decision away from a totally different life.

No more hiding

Hello beautiful people,

It's dawned on me these passed couple of days how wonderful this world is and how beautiful it is to be present in it. It can be quite difficult to notice the beauty when you feel ugly. Insecurities, always hiding behind someone, never speaking up and believing that you're not good enough are enough reasons many of us are unhappy.

Every life has seasons, from a time of planting to reaping. I spent most of my years in one season because I was too afraid to step out and believe that anyone could listen to what I had to say. I had the nerve to doubt the people in my life thinking they stayed out of pity or obligation which led to building a wall to protect myself from the pain of this world. It's taken alot to get here and honestly, I'm not where I need to be but at least it's not where I used to be.

Listen, it's hard to step out and stand on your own, it's even crazier when majority of the people don't believe in your dreams. You are a beautiful person, you may have done somethings under pressure that you regret but that's all in the past. You don't have to hide behind people anymore. You're enough, you have everything that you need within you, you just have to believe in yourself. You don't have to borrow confidence or security anymore, you can be that on your own. It will feel a little weird and uncomfortable at first but don't run to what once was but forge ahead. You have the courage, power and heart to live the life you've envisioned, you just have to take the step.

The bravest thing you can do is walk away from what's hurting you. Once you've walked away, let faith in to be your friend. I believe in letting God write my story. My faith has helped me and staying true to my decision. Do not waver once you decide.

You're one decision away from a totally different life.
